Dear St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you and your families safe and healthy. I am writing you to confirm that the date for the second vaccination of our staff will be next Thursday, March 4th. As was the case on the date our staff received their first dose, March 4th will be a remote learning day. Teachers will give their students assignments to complete at home and will be available to help them remotely during specified office hours on that day.

We have been told that the second dose of the vaccine could result in some staff members feeling ill 24-48 hours afterwards. To avoid the staffing challenges this could create, there will be no school on Friday, March 5th. There will be no in-person classes or remote learning on that day.

Getting our staff fully vaccinated is an important step in our fight against the pandemic. It will help to keep your children in our classrooms and to allow our schools to remain open. As always, I appreciate your patience and support during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

Dr. Mimi Webb
