Welcome to St. Bernard-Elmwood Place City Schools

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The 2020-21 school year is scheduled to begin in August, and we want to provide important information to you and your students. First and foremost, the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Schools plan to be open all day, everyday, for all students.  Significant precautions will be in place for the health and well-being of all students and staff.  Masks will be required.

The first day of school for students has been postponed to August 24, 2020.  Not all students will attend that day. Small groups of students will be in attendance at each building for the first few days to acclimate all students to the new health and safety protocols in place. Students will receive information at a later date, letting them know on which day they will attend for the first time. Buses will run on a regular schedule from the first day; students may purchase breakfast and lunch as usual. Application forms will be provided for free and reduced meals.

For parents who do not want their students to attend in-person classes, an option is available for those students to remain enrolled in the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Schools but attend an online virtual academy, paid for by the district. The virtual academy teachers are not SBEP teachers but are licensed by the State of Ohio and will be teaching the Ohio recommended curriculum. If you want us to enroll any of your students in the virtual academy for the first semester, please call Mrs. Pam Carroll at 513-482-7121, by July 30, 2020.  Students who enroll in the virtual academy will remain enrolled there for the entire first semester.

SBEP students who are enrolled at either Scarlet Oaks or Diamond Oaks will follow the schedule determined by the Great Oaks system for attending in-person classes.  Those students will receive information regarding that schedule.

Our focus is to get all SBEP students back in our classrooms in August.  We intend to provide the safest possible environment for everyone.  If you have any questions about the options available to you and your students, please call 513-482-7121, and you will be directed to the right person to answer your questions.

Thank you for being part of our Titan family!

Sincerely,

Mimi R. Webb
